merger and acquisition integration
Research has established that about half of mergers and acquisitions fail in that they do not deliver the results that were anticipated when the investment was made. The majority of the failures are related to ineffective management due diligence, integration and communication.
Our focus in our M&A integration work is to minimise these risks of failure with good practice: ‘plan well, implement fast, communicate frankly, act correctly.’
In our work we are able to assist by:
- bringing structure and good practice to M&A integration planning
- advising on organisational structure and cultural issues
- providing guidance on individual roles and responsibilities
- bringing an independent focus
- sharing our experience to identify opportunities and pitfalls
- participating in the host’s/investor’s integration team
- guiding communication processes
all with the objective of helping to deliver the synergies and business results upon which the investment has been based and upon which it depends.
